iBurst Laptop Modem Specifications

The iBurst Laptop Modem (PCMCIA) can be used on any laptop or notebook that has a PCMCIA slot.

iBurst Desktop Modem Specifications

The iBurst Desktop Modem may be used on any desktop, laptop or notebook that has a spare USB or Ethernet port.

  • Operating System: Windows 2000 & XP, Linux kernel 2.6 and above, Mac OSX1.5 and above

  • Antenna: Integrated monopole includes connector for optional high-gain antenna

iBurst USB Modem Specifications

The iBurst USB Modem may be used on any desktop, laptop or notebook that has a spare USB port.

  • Platform: Any Internet device, including Windows or Macintosh desktop, laptop, notebook, subnotebook, router or WLAN Access Point
  • Operating System: Windows 2000 & XP, Linux kernel 2.6 and above, Mac OSX1.5 and above
  • System Requirements: Pentium II or higher processor, 128 MB RAM or higher, at least 100 MB hard disk space.
  • Data Interface: USB 2.0
  • Dimensions: 119mm x 15.6mm x 50mm
  • User Data Rate: up to 1061Kbps downlink / up to 346 Kbps uplink

iBurst External Antenna Specifications

The iBurst External Antenna is for use with the iBurst Desktop modem, and are intended to improve throughput included in the fringes of Coverage Areas indicated on Coverage Maps.

Warranty on iBurst Hardware
All modems are provided with a 12 month RTB (Return to Base) standard warranty. If the device is found to be defective within the warranty period, it will be repaired or replaced, at FutureWeb's expense, provided the iBurst modem was being used in a manner for which it was intended, and has not been damaged by misuse.

The warranty requires that the damaged iBurst modem be delivered, at the customer's expense, to a location designated by FutureWeb.

In general, defective iBurst modems will be replaced rather than repaired.
